My Summoner Wars (Hi)Story
After hearing Tom Vasel rave about the game on The Dice Tower for years, I finally got around to playing it in spring of 2022. I've been trying to get my online friends into it, and I play against them quite sporadically on Table Top Simulator. Currently my main source of SW play is League.
Favourite faction and favourite card
I haven't played enough to truly know which faction clicks the most with me, but I have really enjoyed my plays of Cloaks, Avians, and Breakers so far. I want to see what Vanguard can do and am quite intrigued by their playstyle, but have very limited experience with them.
What would I change about Summoner Wars
I would have variable start positions. On the surface this seems like it would help to address some of the complaints regarding first-player advantage and also alleviate some of the more imbalanced matchups.
Games beside Summoner Wars
I'm a big board gamer. My list of favorites include Terraforming Mars, Race for the Galaxy, Through the Desert, Leaving Earth, and Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game.
