LIved abroad in China for the ~3 years ~6 years ago as an ESL teacher (also taught a little environmental science and history). Work as an EH&S Engineer at a chemical manufacturing facility (epoxy chemistry). A little stressful but I always have a new challenge to work on with a great team. I've been married for about 10 years now. My wife is an artist and teacher who likes to travel and has broadened my views on life. We recently opened an art studio/shop. I enjoy listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Topics and genres like science fiction, fantasy, history, philosophy, and games.

In college, I used to play miniature war games. I always thought it would be a cool idea to create a card game based on these miniature games since they were so expensive. A few years after college, I would visit my friends and we would get together to play Rock Band and board games like Catan, Puerto Rico, and Dominion. So one time, I went on Youtube and did some 'research' to find different games and came across Tom Vasel's review on Summoner Wars. The rest is history. I didn't get in at the start but pretty close - During the 1st 6-8 summoners. I even ended up getting a smart phone just to play it online. I did a little playtesting for 1st edition too.

I tend to be generalist and play and enjoy most factions. I do enjoy Tundra Orcs when the cards line up. Especially using Brutal Force (and Primal Fury) to get a chain of attacks on a Summoner or Champ.

Some quality-of-life improvements for the app. Moving the back button away from the exit button. A tracker to easily see what cards have been played. Automatically showing ACTIVE cards when coming back to a game. Maybe a few extra life on summoners, but I tend to play aggressively and get myself into trouble.
