I escaped the concrete of Birmingham (the UK one) to live halfway up a mountain in Vermont. There I grow vegetables, chickens and beards and generally pretend (unconvincingly) to be a competent practical person while actually sitting inside playing on my computer. For work, I teach Summoner Wars (and some other stuff) at a college in Boston and create new math because the stuff we have isn't cool enough.

I came to SW1 from Heroscape. I think I was around from more-or-less the start, but never especially active on the old PHG forum. I played a bunch on the app.

Faction is probably CG; that's the one I keep going back to. I'm currently on an SA kick and enjoying it very much. If that keeps up they might take that top spot. Unit is Ollag, because he is modeled on me and named after me. (As far as I know this isn't true, but please don't tell me for sure. I like the fantasy.)

Heroscape was the game that got me into this type of gaming, and I played that a lot. Past tense, unfortunately, although I've got all the stuff knocking around and a kid who might take to it. Recently I've been enjoying the Castles of Mad King Ludwig, Patchwork and various types of Pandemic with my family (we're currently working on the Legacy one). I play on Board Game Arena intermittently. I enjoy 7 Wonders, Azul, Insert and a few more there.
