Bio
As far as hobbies go, I primarily consider myself a classic literature nerd (favorites include Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Faulkner, Woolf, Henry James, and James Joyce), but board games have been my biggest hobby outside of that since high school. Recently I've been getting more into manga, with favorites including Vinland Saga, Goodnight Punpun, Frieren, Yurucamp, & Yona of the Dawn.
My Summoner Wars (Hi)Story
I had heard of Summoner Wars several years ago, but didn't jump on it since I mostly play board games with two other players. However, between the glowing Shut Up & Sit Down review and the existence of an online implementation, I was excited to get into Summoner Wars with the new edition.
Favourite faction and favourite card
Favorite faction at the moment is probably Mountain Vargath - like a melee Skyspear Avians with the potential to snowball big-time in the way that I tend to enjoy. Favorite card is either Spirit of the Phoenix or Varn.
What would I change about Summoner Wars
Give Changeling Swarm 4 HP, allow Rebuke to target your own units, & let Nym heal 2 with Ebb & Flow.
Games beside Summoner Wars
Gloomhaven/Frosthaven, Dungeon Lords, Red Dragon Inn, Dominion, Tragedy Looper, and recently Hegemony. Best video game I've ever played would have to be Disco Elysium; besides that I've also played a few of the 2010's Fire Emblem Games, and a bit of Slay the Spire, but not much else of note.
